Introducing Our Site Mascot & Editor in Chief
Mr Brown
Hi, I'm a 14 year old rescue. I think I'm a mix of staffy, ridgeback, and shepherd which makes me very playful, totally loving, and as gentle as a lamb. But hey, don't mess with me, I'm a serious guard dog too!
My short bio is my past is a mystery, I love my forever family and chasing anything that moves, and I'm a very talented soccer player. I have my favourite toys, including a squeaky pig and a couple of Nyla-bones which taste like bacon and peanut paste.
When I'm not sleeping on my luxurious furry bed or playing, I'm chewing a nyla-bone; it helps me relax. I heard a whisper I might have ADHD?
I am the NSW Freedom Of Information mascot so I pretty much stay on patrol at the office most days.
Yes, my name really is Mr Brown, but I also go by Browny, Big Boy, Mr Stinky, and the Great Big Giant Baby Boy.
My main job is to make sure anyone who's feeling stressed gets as much love and cuddles as I can manage; this always helps in any situation. I guarantee patting me will flood anyone with mind-bending endorphins!
I especially care about Victims of NCAT which I've heard alot about.
You know, some people think my bosses are hard to deal with, but I know they care deeply about the community and justice; they won't be pushed around and I encourage that.
Personally, I believe everyone has the right to be heard, and the laws should always be obeyed no matter who you are. I'd love to see everyone come together and talk things through for the greater good but sadly some of you out there aren't interested in that.
I think it's ironic we dogs don't have any written laws but we always know what's right and what's wrong; and you humans are supposed to be superior beings LOL.
If you'd like to get updates on my wonderful life and all my adventures, email my boss at info@nswfreedomofinformation.net.
I might even start a social media page to make things easier for my fans!
As Editor in Chief I get the last say on whatever's published and shared with the world which makes me feel very important. I'm always interested in giving people a voice, listening to their personal stories, and helping them work through any problems no matter how big or small.
My goal is to make the world a better place! It's not hard!
I look forward to getting to know you, and please write to me if you want me to put in a good word for an interesting story or a helpful topic.
